Cathleen Hues (Pink Panda): "I am very grateful that I was asked to come back and update this space with a new Mural. While the previous Mural (see this address in RIP section) was much loved by both the building occupants and the community, this time there was a desire to have the art be more in line with the purpose of the space. For this reason the beaver, wolf cub, and Scout's logo were included in the artwork."
"Because the building is very wide, I went with the idea of trying to tell a story. I started with a landscape camping scene at the far left that transitions into the imagery that represents the energy of Scouting. I used splashes of water to tie in the beaver and the camping landscape. The water element is a part of Scouting as well as symbolizing the beaver's home in the lakes and rivers. I wanted the howling wolf cub along with the beaver to be bright and colourful with the abstract energetic vivid colours and lines that signify the lasting energy that Scouting brings to the lives of Scouts as they are prepared for what the world has to offer."
