Steve Wilson (Graffiti Art Programming): "In the spring we are approached by Mr. Don Mackey and asked if we were interested in participating in this project. I was very honoured to have the war veteran come into our building and allow us to be part of this project in memory in commemoration of Sergeant Tommy Prince. We spent a little bit of time deciding how we would include it and do this is as a community service and the same time use this opportunity for some of our young artists to work on a smaller Mural project with the guidance and direction of our instructors. We decided to make it part of our training program."

The new Mural flanks the original Paradis & Dennis Mural (see 1060 Selkirk Avenue (1)), extending the original scene in both directions (photo 3). A group of GAP artists led by GAP instructor Richard Manoakeesick completed the artwork in mid-October 2003, before the snow hit.
