This Project was an unplanned redo of an extensive and beautiful earlier projext here in 2021 that was destroyed by extensive graffiti and tagging (see this address in RIP section).
In August of 2022, Annie Bergen was asked to recover tha underpass walls and stairwells with new artwork. There was only a relatively small budget and short timeframe for the work to be done. Annie decided to simply have fun and be whimsical with it and depicted fantasy underwater themes and fairy tales.
The pedestrian underpass remained closed to the public while Annie and her helpers were working. Once the artwork was completed the entire artwork was graffiti coated prior to reopening the underpass.
