This artwork was by Ian August and Owen Carpenter in 2000 for the Osborne Village Motor Inn and The Zoo nightclub there. The Mural was done through Graffiti Arts Programming with additional sponsorship from Osborne Village BIZ. It was painted over in 2005.

Original notes on this wall:

Steve Wilson (Graffiti Art Programming): “Osborne Village Motor Inn and the Zoo wanted something graffiti style, and they wanted something that would depict the hard rock atmosphere in their establishment. This one we were lucky enough to have a lot of free reign on it. The two artists, Ian August and Owen Carpenter spent a lot of time on the design; and you can really see the graffiti style in there with the two guitars they made. Unfortunately was a pretty beat up surface we were painting on; old wood, and we re-primed it all. The owner didn't want any kind of coating over it, so it's a lit little rough around the edges now. But it certainly something you don't really see anywhere else in the city. That's what makes this Mural so unique.”
